Summer is a great time for being in the garden, and if you've

We done exactly this, and decided to treat ourselves to a Bestway 12 foot pool,
this is a little beauty, and a great size for the family to fit in. Our two children can even
get into the pool without bickering with each other; well, sometimes.
It does take some time to fill the pool up. We bung the hose in and leave it to fill for the night, about
12 hours later it's about full. You have to be aware that the water can be a tad cold too, when it's
fresh from the tap it's cold enough to make any man speak a couple of octaves higher. Give it a few days in the
sun and the water does begin to warm up though. Although, chances are it'll never quite get to the temperature of
the Bahamas. But for just over a 100 quid from Argos.co.uk, it's well worth the money.
Here's a tip for you and your pool
Before putting your pool on the ground get some polystyrene sheeting from somewhere
like B and Q or Wickes. This is about 25mm thick, and makes a good protector between the
bottom of your pool and ground. So any sharp stones which work there way to the surface will
stick into your polystyrene sheets, and not into your new pool.
