If you're after some beach volleyball, London may not seem like the place to go - what with it being the UK's capital city, and not having a beach. Well, for a few days in 2011, as part of the build up to the Olympic Games in 2012, volleyball was very much on the agenda. Taking place in Horse Guards Parade in the very heart of our great capital city, beach volleyball could be experienced.
A whole host of sporting events are coming up as training sessions for the Olympics, so even if you're not one of the lucky ones to get a ticket to the 2012 Olympic Games, you can get yourself down to London for some of that Olympic Games experience.
Where to stay
You maybe looking for somewhere to stay in London - and if you decide to take a break outside of the Olympic Games 2012 dates, you will still be able to find some accommodation; a good way take a break is by booking a city break. You could try Hoseasons - they have several city break apartments to choose from. A city break apartment offers a fantastic place to stay for a couple of nights; and offers so much more than just a hotel (you get kitchen facilities, which makes things much easier and cheaper if you're taking a short break with the children in tow).Find out more
